Self-care journaling outdoors on your Five Hearts palm throw rug

Pour Into Your Cup

I wanted to share a little something with you. You may know that I'm a big advocate for transparency and recently, I'll admit, I've been struggling a little. Yes there have been some big things happening in my life, but I also know I haven't been doing enough things that fill my cup. Self-care has been lacking!

It's so easy to get stuck in these little ruts, I think we all experience it. I don't think anyone can be happy every single day, but I do think you can find a little spark of happiness in every day.

I made myself stop for 5mins today to write a little list of small things that make me smile and make my cup full. I want you to be able to do the same. Yes, I want you to take a moment (you have time to read this blog so you can gift yourself a minute to do this), write down all the little things that make you happy. Add it to a note in your phone, scribble it on a piece of paper but make an actual list.
Then what? Fill more of your days with them!

Talking to your bestie makes you feel good? Call them! Heck, FaceTime each other while making dinner and you're both managing the chaos around you - at least you're in it together.

Love seeing your kids (or nieces/nephews/fur baby) learn and grow? Teach them a new skill or simply cook with them and let them do more of the tasks (and be ok with cleaning more mess haha).

Enjoy being outdoors? It doesn't need to be a big outing, just go sit on your front step or balcony, zero devices around and pay attention to what you can see, hear, feel, smell and touch. So often we are rushing through life or ignoring both the simplicity and beauty of the world around us...

And please remember, mental health matters ☀️

I hope you love these ideas for filling your cup and I'd love for you to comment below and tell me your favourite or even give me some ideas to try.
