My 5 Current Favs: Podcast Edition

My 5 Current Favs: Podcast Edition

Just finished your most recent podcast and looking for something new? Can't find anything to fill the time until the next episode of your favourite podcast is released? I've got you.

My taste is pretty much all over the place and constantly evolving, but alas, I have handpicked 5 of my favs, each offering its own unique flavour and style.

From the gripping world of true crime, where you'll be on the edge of your seat, right through to the realm of personal development, with some real 'no bullshit' approaches. I've given my own little synopsis of each of the podcasts below.

So, pop in those earbuds and get ready to sample something new!

Guilt is a deep-dive investigative podcast of which I have currently listened to 2/3 seasons available - don't worry, I am keen to cue-up the third asap.

Each season focuses solely on a mysterious unsolved case in New Zealand, which will leave you scratching your head, questioning every detail and wanting to keep your own notepad handy to scribble thoughts down. I love his passion for the victims in his search for their truth and his desire to leave no stone unturned.

Once you listen to this, please message me as I'd love to discuss thoughts/opinions etc. Seriously!

We Mean Well is not for the faint hearted or easily offended.

These two self-proclaimed 'washed up tik-tokers', Luisa (Kiwi) and Jarch (Aussie), will be in your ears talking absolute rubbish but you won't want to turn it off. I love their laid back approach as they chat about life, love/dating, drink escapades, their childhood, food and basically any other random topic they can whip out.

It's great for a laugh, to escape from your own shit and feel like you're one of their mates chatting over some beers.

Well there is no prizes for guessing the hosts name for this podcast...

Mel Robbins covers such a diverse range of topics and often invites experts in various fields to discuss meaningful subjects, in great depth. From tackling productivity hurdles to navigating relationships and fostering personal growth, everything is approached with honesty and zero bullshit. Mel doesn't shy away from discussing her own struggles and triumphs either, or asking the 'stupid' questions, which adds a layer of authenticity and relatability.

I feel like I truly learn something new, even about myself, each episode.

Morbid is hosted by Ash and Alaina, two 'sisters' with an unyielding fascination for all things macabre. With a perfect balance of dark humour and respectful storytelling, Morbid delves into some of the most gruesome and perplexing true crime cases from around the world.

Alaina (an autopsy tech who can provide an interesting insight at times) and Ash's captivating narration will keep you engrossed as they explore the twisted minds of killers, analyse evidence, and discuss the intricate details of each case. Brace yourself for a journey into the darkest corners of true crime, hauntings and unbelievable listener tales with Morbid, all with a side of quirky banter.

My Daily Business is an inspiring and practical podcast for anyone who owns a business, big or small, hosted by Fiona Killackey.

With a focus on entrepreneurship and personal development, this podcast offers truly valuable insights, strategies, and stories to help you succeed in your business journey. A variety of business owner guests share their stories, the ups and downs, while Fiona is a wealth of knowledge herself, with a background as a business coach, author and speaker. Each episode provides actionable tips and practical advice that you can implement in your daily life and business.

I hope you find one or more of these tickle your fancy!

Big love, Steph x
