5 Fun Ideas for Your Next Gals Get Together

5 Fun Ideas for Your Next Gals Get Together

Over the usual coffee catch ups and looking for some fun and creative ways to spend time with your best gals? As someone who loves some quality time with my friends and family, I know how important it is to plan get-togethers that are not only enjoyable but also create memories for years to come! Whether you're planning a birthday celebration or just a casual get-together, here are five fun ideas that you can try with your friends to mix up your next Saturday coffee date.

Park Picnic

Picnics are one of my favourite ways to spend time with my friends and family. There's something about enjoying delicious food and drinks in the sunshine that just feels so relaxing and fun. Plus, it's a great opportunity to catch up and bond with each other. All you need is to pack your favourite snacks and drinks (fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, and a bottle of rosé are a great place to start), and you’re ready to spend the afternoon lounging in the fresh air and making sunshine-filled memories. Picnics pair well with our Five Hearts throw blankets – the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors while staying cosy and comfortable.

Beach Day

Living in Meanjin (Brisbane), I'm lucky enough to have easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world only a short 1-2hrs drive away. It’s so easy to forget this sometimes! Whenever I want to plan a fun day out with my gals, I love when someone suggests a beach day. We bring a Five Hearts throw to use as a beach blanket and spend a few hours soaking up the sun, reading a good book and chatting away or taking a cheeky dip in the ocean. A sunset or sunrise beach picnic is a great way to mix things up from your typical beach day too.

Outdoor Yoga

Yoga is not only a great way to exercise and improve flexibility, but it's also a fantastic way to connect with your inner self and practice mindfulness. Why not have an outdoor yoga session the next time you catch up with your girlfriends? It’s as easy as finding a nice spot in the park or on the beach and popping on a guided class or meditation. Plus, you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air. It’s such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience to have together, it might even become a regular part of your usual catch-ups.

Mindfulness Session

Mindfulness is a practice that I've been exploring more and more in my journey to prioritise my mental health and sense of self – and it's something that I love sharing with my friends too. A mindfulness session together is such a fun way to create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere to spend quality time together. Bring along a sound healing bowl or some meditation music, and everyone can bring their journals to meditate and take some time to reflect. Afterwards you’ll feel so calm and connected, and it’s great bonding to share your experiences with each other. Pack some fresh fruit and ice tea as a nice light and healthy way to finish off your mindfulness session.

Creative Workshop

Creative workshops don’t have to be confined to the indoors! If you're looking for a fun and creative activity to do with your gals, getting creative with a DIY Paint and Sip is a great idea. If you or your friends aren’t creatively inclined to freestyle, that’s okay. There are so many beginner YouTube tutorials you can pop on to easily follow together. Not only will you get a fun painting to take home, art can be very therapeutic and the bonding, laughs and priceless memories with your friends are second to none!

Hopefully these ideas give you a little bit of inspiration to mix up your next catch-up with your girlfriends! There are so many fun and meaningful ways to spend quality time together. Our Five Hearts throws were made for quality time, mindfulness and making memories with the people you love, so you can make your next get-togethers even more enjoyable and special.
