    L'histoire derrière la conception...

    J’ai eu l’idée de concevoir des plaids tout en luttant contre la dépression et l’anxiété postnatales. Après avoir donné naissance à mon 3ème fils, je me suis très bien adaptée au début mais quand il a cliqué à plus de 6 mois, je ne me sentais plus moi-même. Après avoir recherché l’aide d’un professionnel et trouvé mes propres thérapies, j’ai redécouvert mon amour du graphisme.

    Dans tous les domaines de ma vie, il s’agissait de me concentrer sur les détails et d’adapter la pleine conscience – trouver la beauté dans les choses simples. Cette conception se concentre sur les formes de fleurs et de soleil entourées de jaunes, car avec la chromothérapie, les jaunes contribuent à créer un sentiment de joie, de confiance et d'enthousiasme tout en aidant à atténuer les sentiments de dépression. C'est là que réside la naissance de Five Hearts et de ce jeté bien nommé « Better Days ».

     

    Pour aider les personnes souffrant d'anxiété et/ou de dépression périnatale, nous sommes fiers de faire un don de 5 $ sur chaque jeté « Better Days » vendu à PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia).

    PANDA soutient les femmes, les hommes et les familles de toute l'Australie touchés par l'anxiété et la dépression pendant la grossesse et au cours de la première année de parentalité. PANDA gère la seule ligne d'assistance nationale d'Australie permettant aux individus et à leurs familles de se remettre de l'anxiété et de la dépression périnatales, une maladie grave qui touche jusqu'à une femme enceinte ou une nouvelle maman sur cinq et un papa sur dix.

    Care

    To ensure the longevity of your throw, please ensure you follow the below instructions. Incorrect care is at your own risk.

    - Spot clean or hand wash with a mild detergent in cold water where possible.

    - If you need to, machine wash separately on a cold delicate/gentle cycle. Front loader recommended.

    - Please line dry only.

    - Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Do not vacuum. Do not use harsh detergents. Do not use bleach. 

    Take care with sharp objects and avoid pulling threads. If this occurs, please use a pair of tweezers and some patience to gently pull this thread along, until you reach the edge and trim.

    Please note your throw may shrink slightly after its first wash due to the nature of woven cotton.

    The story behind the design...

    I started the idea for designing throws while battling post-natal depression and anxiety. After giving birth to my 3rd son I initially adapted very well but when he clicked over 6 months old, I no longer felt like myself. After both seeking professional help and searching to find my own therapies, I rediscovered my love of graphic design.

    In all areas of my life it became about focusing on details and adapting mindfulness - finding beauty in the simple things. This design focuses on flower and sun shapes surround by yellows, as with colour therapy, yellows help create the feeling of joy, confidence and enthusiasm while helping alleviate feelings of depression. Therein lies the birth of Five Hearts and this throw aptly named ‘Better Days’.
